Peg’s Birthday Page
So just so you know, Peggy has no idea that I’m doing this. She would skin me alive if she found out.
It is very hard to ask for help when you are in trouble. And she has always been very, very independent and never wanted anyone to know anything different.
Anyway, a few weeks ago while taking care of Colene’s dogs she got tripped up by the tie out cord on one of them and she fell… She landed on her left hand and at first just thought it was sprained. I popped a few bones back into place and it felt better but my gut told me something else was wrong. I now believe she cracked one of the side bones.
And yes, she is one of those famous Americans with no health insurance.
Since she does massage for a living, (she supplements her retirement income with the massage to pay for groceries, gas etc. with massage) her ability to make a living has been taken away for a while.
We bought a splint and have her hand immobilized right now, but it needs to stay that way for 4 to 6 weeks.
So, since it is her Birthday this Saturday the 24th, ( her 58th) I thought it would be a good excuse to do something nice for her.
So I am begging on her behalf. I would love to take care of her all by myself and would never ask if I could do it myself. I started a new business a few months back and am gaining ground, but find myself behind the 8 ball too so to speak, so I ask for help for her, because I know she would starve before she would ask for help…
